The Challenge

Following proactive outreach that began in January 2025, Badge of Honour secured its first order with CASA in May 2025.

The project involved producing a range of promotional products for an end-of-financial-year campaign, with a fixed government budget and a strict delivery deadline before 30 June.

As this was our first project together, every product required sampling and approval before production. Several items were completely new to our supplier network, adding additional development time while still needing to meet the client’s required delivery schedule.

The order combined both locally sourced and offshore-manufactured products, requiring careful coordination across multiple suppliers to keep the project on track.

What We Delivered

Badge of Honour created an extensive range of custom merchandise concepts for CASA, with the client selecting a fully customised tote bag design alongside a range of practical promotional products. The final order included:

  • Custom-designed tote bags
  • CPR first aid keyrings
  • Wooden Spitfire aircraft models
  • Wooden helicopter models
  • Chamois cleaning cloths with frosted zip pouches
  • Aviation ruler bookmarks
  • Additional promotional merchandise

Approximately 7,000 products were supplied across the program. To meet the compressed EOFY timeframe, offshore products were air freighted into Australia rather than shipped by sea. While a small number of items arrived after the client’s preferred delivery date due to the extensive sampling and product development process, Badge of Honour worked closely with the client throughout the project and ensured invoicing was completed before the end of the financial year so their allocated budget could be utilised correctly.

The Result

The project delivered approximately 7,000 promotional products with a total order value of around $10,000.

Successfully delivering a first order for a Federal Government agency demonstrated Badge of Honour’s ability to manage complex timelines, mixed local and offshore production, and customised merchandise programs under strict budget and procurement requirements.

Although key client contacts have since moved on from the organisation, the successful completion of the project established a strong foundation for future opportunities with CASA.
